The very first thing I ever wanted to be was an artist. I made art for a long time. Then I stopped. Life, you know? When I first had my son, I felt even further from making/creating. There was just always so much crap to do. For the first few years of his life, my son didn’t seem into drawing or painting. But I kept offering him paper, crayons and markers, until something clicked. Now he’s happiest with a notebook and marker in hand, while traveling on a plane to somewhere he’s never been. That’s how I’m happiest too.
